He was annoyed with me for not getting him a trumpet yet....Whatever! "Patience is a virtue" and all that!!.......but I think he should have to earn something that big....so we talked a lot and he cried and sulked and then realized that being patient isn't all that bad and maybe, just maybe..."good things come to those who wait"...and earn them!.........so then we took self-portraits and worked in the yard together. All is good again.

I think you are absolutely right!! Waiting & earning makes it sweeter in the end...not to say it isn't tough...especially if those around you get it given to them on a whim.
