Vacation Pocket Folder

This is a pocket folder that I made to hold my vacation coupons, hotel info, and little bits of memorabilia. I used one piece of 12x12 paper from Creative Imaginations, it was patterned on both sides... perfect for this project. The finished size is about 6x9 inches and perfect to toss into your vacation bag or purse.

Thanks to Mo for passing along such a fun project idea!!

I Love Life Mini Album

Getting Organized

This is me doing a little repair work on the pantry, installing brackets between the shelving. I also installed a new trim piece on the front.

This has to be one of my favorite rooms in my house now! It's clean and ready for paint....come the first cool day of fall I will be painting this walk-in pantry.

I keep school supplies on the very bottom on the floor. It's the easiest place to store school papers/artwork quickly and out of the way.

I have large artwork pieces stored in a plastic bin. There is a smaller bin for incoming tests/classwork. I love that it's empty right now. Next to that I have two new organizer file boxes ($10/ea. WalMart) for papers/writings/tests/smaller artwork.

File boxes organized by school year from Kindy through Sr. year for tests/writings etc. These are like treasure boxes of what the kids have done in school. Love this idea!

That's my organization frenzy for the week. I'll share a new album later this week.
Thanks for visiting me.

Organize - Word for '08 revisited

I had little date w/ the "Organize" word yesterday! This is my Christmas gift wrap drawer all clean, neat, organized now. I've taken a mental inventory and know that I'm going to need more wrap, bows and many, many more gifts before December :)

I also organized two craft drawers, a walk in pantry, children's artwork/schoolwork from the past school year. More on that tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday Afternoon Project - Trash to Treasure

I couldn't bear to toss out this packaging that my KI papers came in. I just love the little circle tab on it.

I decided to recycle it and this is what I made. A little 5th Grade memory book for Matthew. It has tabs for pictures of "friends", "activites", "projects", and "awards". He helped me come up with those titles for the divider pages and he'll do some of the journaling on some old library cards I found in my stash. I just need to add a couple of jump rings and we're ready to document the coming school year!

Random Images from my PTO

There's nothing like a little "Paid Time Off" to breath some real life back into your soul. Just sharing a few pictures from the past week of things that we did on our free time. A little scrapping and lots of playing!!

A recent LO (design was scraplifted from Scrapbooks etc.) I crimped and pleated a strip of paper to use as my boarder and love this new technique that I tried. I think it makes the paper look like an old vintage ribbon! so fun to make this LO!

Zachary on the bumper boats at Boomers!

Chad and Matthew racing the Indy cars at Boomers

My Birthday at Bass Lake - the Lake was gorgeous!!

My new Dell Laptop...and I couldn't be happier with it!!

The fireworks show at Buchanan High School

Just a couple more days off left with the boys and then we'll back to the routine of work and daycamp. It's been a relaxing, enjoyable birthday week! A most memorable Summer so far!
